グッドフライデーってハッピーな日？
みなさんこんにちは！
最近春らしくなり、早咲きの桜は満開を迎えましたね。ところで皆さん、４月２日の金曜日は祝日でお休みですね。
何の日か知っていますか？ 日本では馴染みがないかもしれませんが、この日はグッドフライデーという祝日です。
イメージ的には花金のようだけど、なんで祝日なの？と思いませんか？
実はこの日は、キリストが一度亡くなった日です。キリストが神の怒りに自らを捧げて処刑された日なのです。。なので実ははハナ金とはかけ離れた意味であり、「受難日」「受苦日」とされ、「聖なる金曜日」なのです。
またGood Fridayは、God’s Fridayから変化した言葉ともされており、現代ではこの日にキリストに感謝をする日なのです。キリストのおかげで人々が救われた日として、この日は感謝しながら休日をお祝いしましょう！
Is Good Friday a Happy day?
Hello everyone! It seems to be spring recently, and the early blooming cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
By the way, Friday the 2nd of April is a holiday. Do you know what day this is?
You may not be familiar with it in Japan, but this day is a holiday called “Good Friday”. You might image it like Happy Friday, but why is it a holiday? Don’t you think so?
Actually, this day is the day when Jesus Christ died once. It was the day when Christ devoted himself to the wrath of God and was executed.
So, in fact, it means something far from Hanakin (Happy Friday), and it is called “Suffering Day”, or “Sacred Friday”.
“Good Friday” is also said to have changed from “God ’s Friday”, and today it is a day to thank Christ. Let’s celebrate the holiday with gratitude as a day when people were saved thanks to Christ!
